On February 19th, at the student-organized Bioinformatics Open Days 2020, hosted by the University of Minho, BioData.pt held the workshop "Single-cell RNA-Seq analysis using a Seurat based graphical interface".

BioData.pt is happy to announce that recent content from the GTPB programme, one of the node services is openly shared. Complete materials from 22 training courses, are available for reuse in two forms.

Convened by BioData.pt, the first workshop of the ELIXIR-funded Staff Exchange Project entitled “Empowering ELIXIR Nodes to measure and communicate their performance and impact” took place on January 30th, in Lisbon (Portugal).

On the 24th of January, BioData.pt oficially launched the first issue of its newsletter! Comprising of two sections: one for the upcoming events and one for latest news, the BioData.pt newsletter will be sent up to two weeks in advance of the events it is sharing.

After two years of activity, we have compiled the essentials of these last two years of BioData.pt into a report that we have now published on our website.

Daniel Faria was invited to present the activities of the ELIXIR Plant Sciences Community and contribute to the discussion on data integration at the COST INTEGRAPE Workshop, which took place in the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal, in January 22-23, 2020.

The 4th Technical Meeting of BioData.pt took place on the 14th of January, at i3S, Porto, and was attended by 35 BioData.pt members.

On the past January 13th, the 3rd General Assembly of BioData.pt Management Board took place at i3S, Porto. All the partners were represented, namely, CCMAR, CEBAL, Champalimaud Foundation, ELIXIR Board, iBET, IBMC, IGC, INESC-ID, IST, IST-ID, ITQB, PI, Pbio, and University of Minho.
