The Alentejo Agricultural and Agri-Food Biotechnology Center (Centro de Biotecnologia Agrícola e Agro-Alimentar do Alentejo, CEBAL) is a private, nonprofit, research and development unit, headquartered in the city of Beja. CEBAL carries out its activities in close connection with the local economic fabric, taking into account the characteristics and potential of the region in which it operates.
