Last week (6th May) we discussed with four national companies to figure out how we can better help each other. With the collaboration of HeartGenetics, SilicoLife, Sogrape and SPAROS, and all other companies who participated, we initiated a process of approximation that we hope will translate into productive and mutually beneficial partnerships in the future. It became clear that it is necessary, relevant and an advantage to all, to increase the interaction between industry and academia and that can facilitate this approximation. At a round table, where panel and audience were able to exchange ideas, we discussed the necessities and particularities of data management and how to create value from this data. It was recognized that, in different sectors, there is data being produced that has not reached its full potential. The city councilor Pedro Patacho of C.M. Oeiras was also present, showing the importance of this initiative to civil society.
