Training is at the heart of ELIXIR's mission: building the skills and expertise needed to empower life scientists, across Europe and beyond.
BioData.pt | ELIXIR Portugal joined ELIXIR-BE and ELIXIR-CH, represented by VIB Training & Conferences and the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, to deliver this ELIXIR-GOBLET Train-the-Trainer programme to colleagues from the Canadian Bioinformatics Hub (CBH).
This online course brought together six time zones, four instructors from the ELIXIR community, more than 20 participants from CBH, and six observers from the TrT Mentorship programme.
The Train-the-Trainer programme plays a key role in expanding ELIXIR's network of skilled instructors by equipping trainers with the knowledge, tools and confidence to design, develop and deliver high-quality courses. For BioData.pt, taking part in this initiative reinforces our ongoing commitment to strengthening training capacity across the ELIXIR community, contributing to a wider, connected network of trainers worldwide.
The result was an interactive, enriching and exciting training experience that highlighted the value of international collaboration between Europe and Canada.
