The Portuguese Node of ELIXIR (BioData.pt) is present at the 8th ELIXIR All Hands Meeting, which has started today, June 7th, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and will run until June 10th, 2022.
The most important meeting of the European Distributed Infrastructure for Biological Data brings together, this time face-to-face, members of the ELIXIR community from across the 22 ELIXIR National Nodes, and collaborators from partner organisations, in order to review ELIXIR’s achievements and activities and to plan the future actions.
ELIXIR Portugal is represented in Amsterdam by Ana Portugal Melo, Deputy Head of Node, and Jorge Oliveira, Deputy Technical Coordinator, who will enthusiastically share the initiatives and achievements of BioData.pt members with the rest of the ELIXIR community.
Ana Portugal Melo is actively involved in the organization of several workshops and mini-symposia on all days of the meeting, such as the workshop “Establishing a roadmap for the Communities towards a sustainable co-production model with the Training Platform” (on Tuesday, June 7th, at 1 pm), and the mini-symposium “Understanding & strengthening our people infrastructure” (on Wednesday, June 8th, at 1 pm).
Jorge Oliveira will present on Wednesday, at 5 pm, the poster entitled “Setting the ground for Biological Data Management and Interoperability in Portugal”, a collective work made by 14 BioData.pt members (Jorge S. Oliveira, Carolina Ventura-Costa, Daniel Faria, Pedro Barros, Inês Chaves, Célia Miguel, Tiago Paixão, Ricardo Leite, Pedro Fernandes, Ian Teixeira, Ana Francisco, Alexandre Francisco, Mário J. Silva and Ana M. P. Melo).
The ELIXIR-CONVERGE Annual General Assembly Meeting will be held on June 10th, 2022, the last day of the All Hands Meeting.
