The Ready for BioData Management: Intensive Course took place on July 3rd and 4th at CIIMAR – Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research in Matosinhos, gathering a dynamic group of researchers, students, and data professionals for two full days of hands-on training in Research Data Management (RDM). Throughout the course, participants explored the full data lifecycle, from planning and documentation to sharing and reuse, and engaged with practical tools and workflows, including Galaxy, Dataverse, and the Data Stewardship Wizard. The first day set the stage with foundational concepts in RDM and sparked lively discussions on good data practices in life sciences. The second day deepened the practical component, guiding participants through real-world use cases and promoting active skill development. This training was delivered in the scope of the GLIM-BioData RDM Centre, coordinated by BioData.pt | ELIXIR-PT, and is part of a national effort to build capacity in FAIR data management, data stewardship, and open science across Portuguese research institutions!
