The final meeting of the Systems Biology for ELIXIR (SYBEL) Implementation Study successfully occurred on December 5-6 in Lisbon at INESC-ID!
This impactful event brought together experts to:
✅ Review the progress achieved throughout the ELIXIR Systems Biology Community.
✅ Lay the foundation for future initiatives to advance the Community.
The SYBEL Implementation Study addressed critical priorities outlined in the Systems Biology Community’s White Paper through five targeted Work Packages:
WP0: Coordination of the study.
WP1: Tackling barriers to FAIRness in systems biology and medicine by enhancing interoperability between models, data, and tools.
WP2: Exploring three Use Cases (Metabolism in Health and Disease, Toxicology, and Industry) to guide future directions.
WP3: Focusing on capacity building and training to support bench scientists in systems biology.
WP4: Promoting the translation of systems biology into industrial and societal sectors.
This meeting marked a milestone in our journey, reinforcing our commitment to advancing systems biology.
Stay tuned as we continue to drive innovation and collaboration within the ELIXIR community!
