ELIXIR-STEERS WP4 Meeting at the General Assembly

STEERS General Assembly

The ELIXIR-STEERS project recently held a working meeting focused on Work Package 4 (WP4), dedicated to strengthening and equipping ELIXIR Nodes and their staff with key skills and resources in organisation, management, and training. The meeting took place as part of the STEERS General Assembly, bringing together representatives from across the project's partnership.

The overarching goal of WP4 is to reinforce the operational capacity of ELIXIR Nodes across Europe, enabling them to deliver more efficient, visible, and widely accessible services — and ultimately contributing to the increased performance of ELIXIR as a pan-European Research Infrastructure.

The meeting addressed the three core objectives of WP4. The first concerns embedding good practices in Node operations, providing both established and new Nodes with practical guidelines on how to become sustainable and effective organisations. The second focuses on consolidating and strengthening organisational and management capacity, equipping Research Infrastructure staff with the relevant skills to meet the demands of a growing and evolving network. The third objective targets capacity building in training, ensuring that Node staff are better equipped to transfer their knowledge, skills, and resources to end-users in an efficient and impactful way.

The discussions held during this meeting mark an important step forward in the continued development of ELIXIR's Node ecosystem, reinforcing the project's commitment to long-term sustainability and excellence across its pan-European community.
