The Research Data Management Centre (in Portuguese, Centro para a Gestão de Dados de Investigação (GDI)) GLIM-BioData – Gateway for Living Data Management - was officially launched with a Kick-off Meeting (KoM), held at University of Minho in Braga, which brought together 22 participants from 10 different institutions associated with BioData.pt. GLIM-BioData.pt is a Centre project powered by the Next Generation EU national funding instrument, the Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR).
Re.Data, the National GDI consortium, was represented by André Vieira (UMinho) at this meeting, strengthening the connection between our Centre and the Consortium.
In this event, participants were divided into working groups according to GLIM’s work packages, promoting focused discussions, goal alignment, and a shared roadmap for the first phase of the project’s implementation.
This KoM marked a strong and collaborative beginning for GLIM-BioData, which aims to develop a sustainable and interoperable framework for managing living data, empowering researchers and institutions across Portugal.
