In January 2025, BioData.pt visited both UCIBIO-NOVA and UCIBIO-Porto as part of a national roadshow series aimed at promoting research data management communities and bioinformatics training across research institutions in Portugal.
These sessions introduced researchers to the mission of BioData.pt and ELIXIR-PT, with a focus on implementing FAIR data principles, improving data stewardship, and fostering a culture of open science. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their specific data-related challenges and learn about BioData.pt’s services, tools, communities and platforms, highlighting the training opportunities and future network events.
By engaging directly with scientific communities in both locations, BioData.pt continues to strengthen its role as a national infrastructure supporting data-driven research and alignment with European standards in life and health sciences.
