BioData.pt Talks: RDM Toolkit

RDMKit - Don't miss the chance to learn ore! Join BioData.pt talks! This November!

One of the main outputs of the ELIXIR-CONVERGE project - the RDMKit - was released this year. This new tool for research data management is the result of a joint effort made by 8 ELIXIR Nodes (ELIXIR Belgium, ELIXIR Germany, ELIXIR Luxembourg, ELIXIR Netherlands, ELIXIR Portugal, ELIXIR Spain, ELIXIR Sweden, ELIXIR UK).

Developed and managed by life scientists, this online research data management kit aims to guide researchers, data managers, funding agencies and policy makers with best practices to better manage their projects and contribute to Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR) data.

To help in every step of data management planning and cover all user needs, the site organises information into the six sections, which are interconnected but can be browsed independently (see right image):

So, for example, if a researcher is currently working on analysing human data to make it more FAIR. In that case, a dedicated page will help review all the problems that must be addressed at that particular stage, for that particular domain, for that particular role.

To find out more and contribute to this open community project, you are welcome to visit the RDMkit page!

If you are interested in learning more about the use and features of RDMkit don’t miss the opportunity to join us on an exciting “BioData.pt Talks: RDM Toolkit”, November 2nd.

The RDMkit is one of the main outputs of the ELIXIR-CONVERGE project. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under grant agreement No 871075.
