On May 12, BioData.pt was invited to participate in the Bioinformatics Workshop hosted by the School of Tourism and Maritime Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. Representing BioData.pt, Luciana Peixoto presented the GLIM-BioData project, which focuses on strengthening research data management practices in the life and health sciences. Her talk emphasised the importance of applying FAIR principles and building national capacity to ensure data is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. The workshop was a valuable opportunity to engage with students and researchers, demonstrating how data infrastructures and good data stewardship can support scientific excellence across disciplines.
