The BioData.pt | ELIXIR Portugal team is in Lyon, France, this week, attending the 12th ELIXIR All Hands Meeting, one of the most important annual gatherings in the European life sciences research infrastructure landscape.
The three-day event brings together members of the ELIXIR community from across the ELIXIR Nodes, along with collaborators from partner organisations, to review ELIXIR's achievements, ongoing activities and future plans. Running from 8 to 10 June 2026, the meeting provides a privileged space for scientific exchange, strategic alignment, and community building at a pan-European scale.
As a highly anticipated annual event, the ELIXIR All Hands is primarily an in-person meeting, with the programme centred on those attending onsite, though remote access is available for workshops and select sessions. This year's edition takes place in Lyon, hosted by ELIXIR France.
For the Portuguese node, participation in the ELIXIR All Hands is an opportunity to engage directly with working groups, Communities, Focus Groups, and Platform activities that shape the direction of the infrastructure, and also to contribute the perspective of ELIXIR Portugal to shared European priorities in data, tools, training, interoperability, and compute.
