The 11th Fórum GDI was held in person on 21 and 22 November at the Instituto Politécnico de Viseu, continuing its legacy of fostering collaboration and innovation in research data management.
This year’s event featured a rich and diverse programme, including technical workshops, flash talks, poster demonstrations, project presentations, and the sharing of best practices.
Jorge Silva, a BioData.pt member and researcher at the Universidade de Aveiro, delivered the flash talk "Enhancing National Research Data Accessibility through FEGA Environment", presenting innovative strategies to improve access to research data. Gil Poiares-Oliveira introduced the BioData.pt Data Management Portal, a cutting-edge tool designed to streamline and enhance data management practices.
The Fórum GDI continues to serve as a vital platform for uniting professionals and researchers involved in research data management. It promotes skill development, facilitates knowledge exchange, and showcases national initiatives, playing a pivotal role in strengthening the national research data ecosystem.
