BioData.pt recently attended the Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) Pillar II Workshop in Sweden, alongside other members of the Portuguese team such as Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge, University of Aveiro, and Técnico Lisboa. The workshop focused on the Starter Kit of the project, which serves as a proof-of-concept to demonstrate how a set of applications and components can be linked via standards. These applications provide the fundamental building blocks for the project's five basic functionalities: Data Storage, Discoverability, Access Management, Computation, and Distribution.
The workshop was a success, with open discussions among all project participants and component developers bringing greater clarity on the work ahead. It was a valuable opportunity for BioData.pt and its partners to collaborate with other leading experts in the genomics field and further advance their contributions to the GDI project.
