Hosted by BioData.pt's Plant Sciences Community on the afternoon of November 12th, 2019, the Plant Phenotyping-Genotyping Data Management Workshop started with a keynote address by invited speaker Dr. Anne-Françoise Adam-Blondon, in front of an almost full auditorium at the ITQB, which presented the extensive work of ELIXIR's Plant Sciences Community to enable plant phenotyping-genotyping data management.
Plant sciences use-case
The PhenoHarmonIS 2018 workshop took place in Montpellier, May 14-18, 2018, focusing on Semantics for Harmonization and Integration of Phenotypic and Agronomic Data. The clear overlap in scope between the workshop and the ELIXIR plant sciences use-case meant that the latter was heavily represented there, with members from ELIXIR FR, BE, NL and PT.
On the 27th and 28th of September 2017, a meeting was held at iBET, to build a domain ontology for plant phenotyping data.
Several ELIXIR nodes and observers were represented in this workshop: ELIXIR- FR: Cyril Pommier, Guillaume Cornut, Nordine El Hassouni (INRA), Marie Angélique Laporte (Bioversity International-Agro Ontology); ELIXIR-PT: Célia Miguel, Inês Chaves, Bruno Costa (iBET), Daniel Faria (IGC), ELIXIR-NL: Evangelia Papoutsoglou and EPPN2020: Hanna Cwiek (Polapgen / Emphasis).
