It is with deep regret and consternation that we took notice of the death of Doctor Noémia Afonso.
Noémia Afonso was a distinguished member of the ELIXIR Portugal (BioData.pt) Science Advisory Board and in this capacity she was contributing with her experience and guidance to the excellence of this Research Infrastructure.
We would like to leave here our gratitude to Noémia Afonso for all she has shared with us and extend our condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
